Dutch Wonderland

Andrew never forgot how much fun he had at Dutch Wonderland last year and he could barely contain his excitement for this year's trip.  All week he told anyone he talked to that he was going to "Wonderland."  Or sometimes "Alice in Wonderland."

This purple dinosaur/dragon fellow is one of the mascots of the park.  He surprised us in a shady tent where we were regrouping and feeding Graham.  Andrew's expression when he turned around and saw this thing was pretty funny.  (The photo below was taken a minute later.)  The dino-dragon patiently waited for Greg to move Graham and his stroller out of the way.

 

Meet Speckled

The newest member of our family is Speckled the betta fish.  Andrew bought her with his own money and is very, very proud.

He campaigned for a pet fish for many weeks, after one of his little buddies got one.  For several days, he kept a tupperware filled with water and bits of paper and lint in his room that he claimed were his fish. 

So when we finally got Speckled, it was a bit of an upgrade.

Scenes from July

One of Andrew's favorite places is the bowling alley close to our house.  They have arcade games there and somehow he managed to hit the jackpot on this game where you launch a quarter into targets.  His 134 tickets bought him 8 miniscule plastic dinosaurs.  He was thrilled.  And he has very high expectations for arcade games now.

Graham at 9 months

He turns 10 months in 3 days, but just for good measure, here is Graham at 9 (and a half) months.

He is getting close to crawling.  He scoots around on his tummy and is very pleased with himself when he manages to get places.  

Sometimes he gets his foot stuck in school buses though.
